On Halloween the Savona Free Library transformed into the world of Harry Potter, for trick or treaters of all ages. The young trick or treaters, and some older, were invited to Veneficae Perfectus wand store to pick out their very own wand. There were over 60 wands of different colors and designs for them to choose from. Afterwards there was a feast of Butter Beer, Cider and confections for all who attended. The trick or treaters participated in a costume contest for prizes supplied by the Savona Fire Department and the Savona Free Library. After the contest everyone went on the costume parade through town. The trick or treaters were joined and led by our own good mayor, Brian Scott.

New this year there was a Trunk or Treat contest after the parade. Participants decorated the trunks of their vehicles and gave out treats. The trick or treaters voted on the best decorated trunk. The winner won a $20.00 gift certificate that was donated by Hon. Michael Horton, to the Wave Station for gas and other items. Thank you Michael. The winner of the Trunk or Treat contest was Amanda Haden. Congratulations Amanda!

A Harry Potter Halloween.
