Summer has ended and the new school year is in full swing.

The 2017 Summer Reading Program “Build a Better World” is over. This year’s Summer Reading Program was a great success! It was the first set of programming done at the new location of the Savona Free Library in the Mary Helen Joint Meeting House on the corner of McCoy St and Main St. We had many old friend and made many new friends take on the reading challenge of reading for 20 hours over the six weeks of the program. All had a great time attending the programs and learning new skills. Some friends found new reading material and new formats of reading, such as our digital books and audio books in our Overdrive digital collection. Over all this year’s program was the biggest and best in recent history.

The Library would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our sponsors, donners, and volunteers who helped to make the 2017 Summer Reading Program such a great success! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
